PARENTS IN PRAYER: Please join us Wednesday, September 3rd in the Music Room from 8-8:45 am. We will meet the first Wednesday of every month. Let’s see what God will do for our children and school when we pray for them.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER: Greetings! This week’s manner we want you and our teachers to emphasize is, “Always say please and thank you when asking or receiving something. The manners we’re choosing all come from Ron Clark’s book, The Essential 55. There is a story in the Bible where Jesus cures ten very sick people. Only one of those ten thanked him! Let’s all remember to say please and thank you.

TUITION: is due the 1st of each month. It is late after the 10th and a $30 late fee is added to your account. If the 10th falls over a weekend or on a day off, the tuition is due on the last school day prior to the 10th. Thank you!

SCHOOL DIRECTORY FORM: If you did not turn in the blue School Directory Form please do so by Friday, Sept. 5th so your family can be included in the 2008-2009 school directory. If you were listed in the directory last year and we do not receive a form by Friday your information will remain the same as last year. Thank you!

DAYCARE (A.S.C.): Parents, if you plan to have your child attend after school care/daycare on a half day of school or on a day off, you must sign up in the school office by the deadline stated in K.I.T. If you do not sign up by this date your child(ren) will not be permitted to attend. The reason for this is that St. Paul must staff this activity properly. If more children attend than expected our licensing with the county would be in jeopardy. Please do not approach the office staff or After School Care staff with special requests after the deadline. Thank you for understanding.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE: is in need of used Legos (small) or game systems (PS2, X Box, Game Cube, etc.) that you no longer use. Items can be dropped off after school in the After Care Room. Thank you!

KARATE WITH MR. SULLIVAN:
Session I – Sept. 8 – Dec. 15, 15 wks. $165
Session II – Jan. 5 – Mar. 23, 10 wks. $110
Session III – Apr. 6 – May 18, 7 wks. $77
Please stop by the school office to pick up a registration form.

FALCON RADIO: From the time you drive on to the campus until you leave you may tune in to 88.7 FM to hear our school announcements.

EMERGENCY CARE CARDS: were distributed at home visits. If you did not already turn yours in to the school office or the teacher, please do so now! This is the first thing we look at in an emergency. If you need another card please stop by the school office.

FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN: please do not drop children off in the parking lot. Park and walk them in or drive through the drop-off line. Thank you for your cooperation.

USED UNIFORM SALE: Because the used uniform sale has gotten so popular, we are going to try to make it a little more efficient. We will hold 3 specific drop off days for used uniforms. Mid fall, mid winter and towards the end of school. We will have a sale early January and Open House day. We have lowered our prices across the board so we will not be issuing coupons anymore. This has been a great fundraiser for the LPTL and a great school community service. Please hang on to your uniforms until one of the drop off days. We will give you plenty of notice before the drop off day. Thanks for you cooperation.

PARENTS OF STUDENTS PLAYING EXTRA CURRICULAR SPORTS: Please do not double park when you are picking up your players from practice. Please park in a parking spot. In case of an emergency a fire truck/ambulance could never get through. Thank you for your cooperation.

SUMMER READING FORMS: are due FRIDAY 09/05 & may be turned in to the library or the student’s homeroom teacher. Students who return their reading log will have their names placed on the library bulletin board & will receive a Summer Reading Certificate. The customary contribution of $25 per student helps defray library expenses and build our reference section. Those choosing to contribute will receive “gold medals” honoring their gift to the library. Please remember the donation is voluntary and not required for participation. The Summer Reading Certificates and gold medals will be awarded to the participants during an assembly in the fall. Forms are still available in the library.

USED SOCCER CLEATS AND THE PHILIPPINES?: What do they have in common? I can make use of your used and outgrown cleats by sending them to some well deserving and needy Filipino children, many of whom are playing soccer competitively without any shoes at all! The kicker is usually the one who gets to wear the team’s only shoe! Please tie the laces together and drop them off at the school office. They will be gathered over the next couple of weeks and mailed to the Philippines. Thanks for your help!

THE ST. PAUL MOMS MINISTRY: invites you to join us for food, fun and fellowship, each Thursday during the 2008-2009 school year. We meet in Fellowship Hall from 8:15-10:15 am. Complimentary babysitting is always available in the nursery and women with children of all ages are welcome. Our first study for this school year, beginning on September 4th and continuing through October 16th, is Catherine Hickem’s book, Raising Your Children with No Regrets-7 Principles of an Intentional Mother. We hope you’ll come and bring a friend!

BOOK FAIR IS COMING!!: Mon. 9/15 – Fri. 9/19/2008…We rely on our fabulous volunteers to make this a successful and exciting event. Please contact Mrs. Hietanen in the library at 395-8548 x 143 if you are able to help.
